About
My name is Tom and I’m a commercial sign maker and keen amateur photographer from London, England. I use this blog to keep friends, family and anyone else who is interested up-to-date with the work I’m doing, adventures I get up to and other bits and pieces I care to share with the world!
In 2011 I graduated from university receiving a 2:1 in Graphic Design and have since then focused on improving my knowledge and skills in photography and signage. The final project I worked on during university was to explore the possibilities of developing a new wayfinding system for Heathrow airport with the intention of creating an internationally recognised standard. To accompany this i wrote a 6000 word essay on the subject of wayfinding. (if you would like to read a copy you can contact me directly at <tom@visuallyinteresting.co.uk>)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find the work on this blog both interesting and inspirational!
Tom out!

Tom,
Very interesting reading your blog.
I am interested in your theory on pictograms and your re-design for BAA signs at Heathrow.
Perhaps you would like to contact me to discuss your project / look at your work so far…
It is pretty rare that students embark on this type of project.
with thanks

Thanks for the compliment! It’s nice when someone appreciates the work that’s being done
I’m on a desperate struggle/crusade to try and dramatically improve the photography I’m producing at the moment, so be sure to see some more photos soon!
